Improve your smile

Clear Aligners for Orthodontic Treatment

Nearly invisible, removable aligners that straighten your teeth without brackets or wires.

Beyond a beautiful smile

Straight teeth are healthier teeth

When your teeth line up properly, the benefits go well beyond how they look.

Healthier gums

Well-aligned teeth are easier to brush and floss, leaving fewer pockets along the gums where bacteria can collect.

Easier to keep clean

With fewer overlaps and tight spots, less plaque builds up, lowering your risk of cavities and gum disease.

Less wear and damage

An even bite spreads chewing forces, reducing chips, cracks and wear that can be costly to repair, and easing strain on your jaw.

Invisalign® and SureSmile®

Dr. Winter offers two clear aligner systems, Invisalign® and SureSmile®. They use different software, materials and clinical workflows. After your assessment, she recommends the system that best suits your teeth, your bite and your goals.

Why patients choose aligners

  • Nearly invisible. Most people won’t notice you’re wearing them.
  • Removable. Eat what you like, and brush and floss normally.
  • Comfortable. Smooth plastic, with no brackets or wires.
  • Fewer, quicker visits, since there are no wires to adjust.

What to expect

  1. Consultation and scans. We examine your teeth and bite, take digital scans and X-rays, and show you how your teeth are planned to move.
  2. Your aligners. You switch to a new aligner every one to two weeks.
  3. Check-ins to make sure everything is on track.
  4. Retainers to hold your new smile in place.

Teeth and gums should be healthy before treatment starts, so we’ll take care of any cavities or gum problems first.

Common questions

How long does treatment take?

It depends on how much your teeth need to move. Dr. Winter will give you an estimate at your consultation, after reviewing your digital scans.

How many hours a day do I wear aligners?

About 20 to 22 hours a day. Take them out only to eat, drink anything but water, and brush.

Will I need a retainer afterward?

Yes. A retainer keeps your teeth in their new position. Without one, teeth tend to drift back.
